Vintage artisan pendant featuring a hand-carved white coral face, set in tested sterling silver (925). The coral displays natural growth structure under magnification and a characteristic blue-white response under UV light, consistent with natural coral.

The ornate silver setting is pierced and sculptural, with foliate detailing and two faceted red accent stones, likely synthetic ruby or spinel, typical of late 20th-century artisan jewelry.

A striking talismanic piece with a serene figural motif. Coral has not been lab tested.

Note on material ID: Some similar carved faces are often mistaken for the bone. Hot needle test is performed on the back and 30x magnification doesn’t show sealed surface but show very fine pores and some growth characteristic of precious coral. It is absolutely not a resin, bone or any other similar material.
