Signed Castlecliff 2-strand necklace featuring a bold arrangement of rounded and oval galalith (casein plastic) beads in rich shades of green with mottled turquoise-green marbling. The alternating bead sizes and colors create a striking, dimensional look characteristic of Castlecliff’s sculptural designs from the late 1930s–1940s.
The necklace is constructed as a double strand with solid brass bar connectors stamped CASTLECLIFF and finished with an original hook closure. The galalith beads display the weight, polish, and saturated color typical of high-quality casein jewelry produced during this period, often used to emulate jade and turquoise.
Notes to condition: good vintage condition overall. A small number of beads show light surface scuffing and minor loss of paint consistent with age and prior cleaning; this is cosmetic only and does not affect structure, stability, or wearability. No cracks, warping, or replaced beads observed. Please refer to close-up photos for detail.
