Vintage celluloid novelty insect brooch in molded yellow plastic, dating to approximately the 1930s–1940s. The design features a stylized beetle form with applied stud accents and articulated detailing typical of early celluloid jewelry.
The piece exhibits a pronounced camphor scent, consistent with authentic celluloid. Lightweight with a slightly translucent surface.
The pinback has been reset to ensure secure wear; orientation differs from original placement. Overall condition is very good for age, with minor surface wear consistent with vintage celluloid.
